Zend Tea by Hesse Shanghai

Zend Pure Tea Annual Selection

The wild green peacock is native only to Southeast Asia and is considered critically endangered. In Yunnan, great efforts are being made to secure the natural habitat and thus the population of these exceptionally beautiful birds. The green peacock is an important symbol of beauty, nobility and happiness for Yunnan's ethnic minorities and tea farmers. One of the most popular traditional dances of the Dai people living there is the "peacock dance".

The Dai also call this bird "golden peacock" because of the iridescent light reflections of its plumage. Even the old name of the capital Jinghong of the Xishuangbanna region used to be Jingyong, which means "city of peacocks". Because of the beauty and elegance of these birds and their special significance for our tea farmers in Yunnan, we have created a special edition of Pu'Er tea. Wrapped in a specially created ornament of peacocks. From now on, we will release a special harvest of our Pu'Er tea in this design every year in relation to the Chinese Zodiac.
